Dhanush has returned to Bollywood with an intense love story, ‘Tere Ishk Mein’. The movie has created immense excitement as the ‘Raanjhanaa’ team of Dhanush and director Aanand L Rai has reunited once again. Kriti Sanon is seen as the female lead, and this marks their first collaboration. Released on 28 November 2025, the romantic drama is finally in theatres, here’s how it fared on opening day at the box office.
Tere Ishk Mein box office collection day 1:
Tere Ishk Mein had a solid start at the box office, earning Rs 16.50 crore on Day 1 as per early estimates. This is the total collection for its opening day, and the film has begun its run on a strong note.
The film’s Day 1 collection has made it the second highest opening for a romantic movie this year. Saiyaara is still at the top with Rs 21.5 crore. Tere Ishk Mein has also outperformed several big 2025 releases like Jolly LLB 3 (Rs 12 crore) and Sitaare Zameen Par (Rs 10.70 crore).
This is also Dhanush’s biggest opening in Bollywood. The film marks his return to Hindi cinema after many years. His first Hindi movie Raanjhanaa, released over a decade ago, had opened at Rs 5.60 crore, while his second film with Aanand L Rai, Atrangi Re, released directly on OTT in 2021.

The romantic movie is expected to land on Netflix after wrapping up its theatrical release.
