Balayya was the chief guest at the pre-release event for actor Vishwak Sen’s ‘Gangs of Godavari’. He was invited on stage to deliver a speech and take a picture with the cast and crew. As they prepared for the photo, he asked Anjali to move to the side.
Filmmaker Hansal Mehta called him a ‘scumbag’ when he shared the video on his X (formerly Twitter) page.
When Balayya pushed her, actor Neha Shetty appeared visibly shocked. After the push, the ‘Akhanda’ actor gave Anjali a high-five on stage. Internet users considered Balayya’s behavior to be extremely rude and disrespectful. Many commented below the video, questioning his manners.
This isn’t the first time Balayya has made headlines for his disrespectful behavior. On one occasion, he slapped his assistant and demanded that he tie his laces. In 2015, during the launch of his 99th film, ‘Dictator’, Balayya pinched Anjali on stage.
Several years ago, Radhika Apte revealed that a popular Telugu actor had tickled her on the sets of her film. She mentioned that she snapped at him and told him not to do it again. Although she did not name Balayya, many speculated that she was referring to him, as she had worked with him in the film ‘Legend’.
