The trailer for ‘Tarla’ is now available. The film, starring Huma Qureshi, depicts Tarla Dalal’s tenacity and will to give meaning to her existence. It all starts with the spices she uses to ward off a groom. However, he says yes, and the couple spends 12 years together. But soon Tarla realises what she is supposed to accomplish. She makes it big in her life. Tarla’s husband is played by Sharib Hashmi.

The official note of the film read, “Witness the tale of the iconic home chef Tarla Dalal, who redefined Indian-styled cooking and won the hearts of millions. Here’s her journey to success, that truly tastes sweet (sic).”

‘Tarla’ has been helmed by Piyush Gupta and co-produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Nitesh Tiwari. The film also stars Sharib Hashmi, Bharati Achrekar, Amarjeet Singh, Rajeev Pandey, Purnendu Bhattacharya, and Veenah Naair. It has been co-written by Piyush Gupta and Gautam Ved and will premiere on July 7 on Zee5.
