Tamil actor Sri aka Shri Natarajan, known for his roles in Maanagaram and Vazhakku Enn 18/9, has been found safe and is now under medical care after several days of going missing. His sudden disappearance had sparked major concern among fans and members of the film industry.
The situation gained momentum after the actor posted disturbing and explicit content on Instagram, showing signs of emotional distress. He had also changed his appearance losing weight and dyeing his hair blonde and cutting off contact with family and friends.
Fans got concerned by the posts and tagged director Lokesh Kanagaraj who directed Sri in Maanagaram urging him to help. Responding to the fan requests Lokesh released a statement on Friday updating everyone about Sri’s condition.
“We would like to inform all well-wishers, friends, and members of the media that Actor Shriram is under expert medical care and is currently taking some time off from social media following his doctor’s advice” the statement read.

The statement also requested privacy, asking media and the public not to spread speculation or unverified information, the statement further stated “We kindly request everyone to respect his need for privacy as he focuses on his recovery and well-being. Speculation and misinformation can be extremely distressing, and we urge all media platforms both online and offline to refrain from spreading rumours or unverified updates about his health.”
Lokesh added that several recent interviews about Sri’s condition do not reflect the family’s views and should not be taken seriously “We also do not endorse any views expressed by certain individuals in interviews and deny the same completely,” read the note.
Sri’s recent struggles come after he had claimed months ago that he wasn’t paid for several of his past film projects. His last appearance was in Irugapatru (2023).
