Gurcharan Singh who formerly played Roshan Singh Sodhi for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is missing from Delhi. He was last seen at the Delhi airport and was reportedly scheduled to reach Mumbai. However, he never reached there, nor did he come back home.
As per the complaint filed by his father, he has been missing since April 22. His mobile phone has not been reachable since then. The complaint says that he was mentally stable at the time of leaving and the family has been searching for him.
The missing complaint submitted by his father says: My son Gurcharan Singh, 50, had left at 08:30 am on April 22 to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to board his flight. However, he didn’t reach there, nor did he come back.
Gurcharan Singh was last seen in one of the most popular soap operas Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma which he had to leave in between due to his father’s ill health. His dues were cleared after the alleged sexual harassment case of Jennifer Mistry over Asit Modi erupted.
Before being an actor, Gurcharan Singh worked as a pharmacist. In an old interview, he said that he had no intentions to get into acting.
He was a part of the Taarak Mehta show since its inception. His popularity can be scaled by the fact that when he left the show in 2013, he was brought back on public demand in 2014.
