After facing a permanent suspension from X (formerly Twitter) over alleged copyright infringement, Swara Bhasker took to Instagram to update her followers on the situation, claiming that her account had been hacked. The actor shared the troubling details, revealing a series of updates she received from X, which suggested unauthorized access to her account.
Account Suspended, Hacked, & Logged Out
On January 30, Swara was locked out of her X account after receiving a copyright violation charge. When she tried to regain access, she discovered that the two-factor authentication was turned off. In an Instagram post, she stated, “And now… my Twitter/X account it would seem HAS BEEN HACKED!” She went on to share that on January 31, she received an alarming email about an unknown person receiving a delegation invite from her account. This meant that the intruder could send DMs, create lists, and even post from her account.
Despite losing access to her account, Swara noted that the blue tick-verified account (@ReallySwara) was still visible on X, leading her to conclude that her account had been compromised. “I have not sent anyone such an invitation,” she wrote, making it clear that the actions were not initiated by her.

The Drama Surrounding The Suspension
This drama began earlier when Swara Bhasker was informed that her account had been suspended due to two tweets marked as copyright infringements. One of these tweets featured a picture of her daughter with a Republic Day wish, while the other included the slogan, “Gandhi Hum Sharmindaa hain, Tere qaatil zinda hain,” a popular phrase of the progressive movement in India. Swara expressed her frustration on Instagram, calling the suspension a violation of her freedom of speech and labeling the reports against her as an attempt to suppress her expression.
Swara questioned the validity of the suspension, suggesting that the tweets may have been mass-reported in an effort to harass her. “Basis which my X account is locked/disabled, I can’t access it, and permanent suspension has been approved by your teams,” she wrote in one of her posts.
The Aftermath & Swara’s Upcoming Projects
Swara’s claims have drawn attention on social media, with fans rallying behind her as she continues to seek resolution. The actor, who was last seen in the 2022 film Mimamsa, will soon star in the upcoming film Mrs. Falani. While the issue with her X account remains unresolved, Swara’s supporters await further developments, hoping for a swift resolution to the hacking and suspension drama.
