Suriya44 Title Revealed: Suriya is one of the most popular actors in Tamil cinema and will soon return to the big screen with an intriguing film. He will team up with the ace filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj for his new film ‘Suriya44’, now titled ‘Retro’. The makers unveiled an interesting title teaser of ‘Retro’, which introduces the stellar star cast. The movie also stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead.
Sharing the first look, Suriya wrote on X, “Merry Christmas Dear All #Retro Summer 2025. Meet y’all soon!”

In the teaser, Suriya and Pooja are seen sitting together on stairs. Not much has been revealed about the film’s title but Suriya’s dialogues give some hints. He said in the video, “I will control my temper. Will quit working with my father. Violence, rowdyism, and hooliganism… will quit everything from this moment. Will try to smile and be happy. The purpose of my birth, in your language, my Dhammam, is love. Pure love. That’s it. I’m saying it cut and right. Now, tell me, should we get married?”
Fans are delighted to see Suriya in another intense role. One fan wrote, “This is going to be a sure shot blockbuster by Karthuk Subbaraj & Suriya. Welcome back Suriya. An amazing cast with Joju George and others. Glad to see Pooja Hegde not opening her mouth and still able to express.”

The movie also stars Joju George, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, and Nasser in pivotal roles.
On the work front, Suriya was last seen in the movie ‘Kanguva’ but it did not work well at the box office.
