Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor have brought back the grand era of romantic-comedy with ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’. Also starring Rohit Saraf and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles, the movie focuses on Sunny and Tulsi, who team up to win their exes back. The movie clashed in theatres with ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’, which is giving tough competition.

According to the website Sacnilk, ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ earned Rs 5.25 crore on day 2 as per early estimates. The movie has earned Rs 14.50 crore in total.
The movie has also been grabbing headlines due to its song ‘Panwadi’. Varun Dhawan expressed his excitement when the song was released, “Panwadi is pure celebration brought to life on screen. Shooting the song felt like being part of a real Holi party — vibrant colours splashing everywhere, infectious beats pumping, and an energy that was simply contagious. It’s the kind of song that will make people jump out of their seats and dance with pure joy. Having powerhouse singers like Khesari Lal and Masoom Sharma lending their incredible voices has truly taken the track to new heights. This one’s an absolute banger, and I can’t wait for audiences everywhere to connect with it and celebrate along!”
While talking about her experience of shooting ‘Panwadi’, Janhvi said, “Filming Panwadi was such an experience, the energy on set was electric. It felt less like a shoot and more like a festival unfolding in front of us. The song has this infectious vibe that just stays with you.”
The movie is directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan under Dharma Productions and Mentor Disciple Entertainment present.
‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ is also Varun and Janhvi’s second collaboration.
