Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty’s daughter, Athiya Shetty, became mother in March this year. She and her husband, cricketer KL Rahul, had their first baby, a daughter named Evaarah. In a recent interview with News18, Suniel Shetty talked about Athiya’s choice to have a natural birth and said she is an “amazing mother.”
Suniel Shetty said he was proud of his daughter Athiya for choosing a natural birth instead of a C-section. He said, “These days, many people prefer the easier option of a C-section, but she didn’t. She went through natural delivery. I remember the nurses and doctors at the hospital saying it was amazing how she handled everything. As her father, that really touched me. I thought, ‘Wow, she’s truly ready!’ Athiya was very strong to go through it.”
Suniel Calls Athiya a Natural and Loving Mom
Suniel Shetty called his daughter Athiya a wonderful mother. He said, “Her mom is a strong woman, and I think Athiya got that strength from her. I have to say, Athiya is such a lovely mother. She has never looked stressed or tired. She’s taken on motherhood so naturally, like a fish to water. She’s truly amazing. Every father sees his daughter as a little girl, I did too and I wondered if she could handle being a mom. But she’s done an unbelievable job!”
Suniel Shetty also shared how proud he is of his daughter for adjusting so well to her new life as a mother and handling the delivery calmly and strongly.

Athiya and KL Rahul welcomed their baby girl on March 24 this year. Recently, KL Rahul posted a photo on Instagram showing him and Athiya playing with their daughter, Evaarah. In the caption, he shared the meaning of her name: “Our baby girl, our everything.🪷 Evaarah/इवारा ~ Gift of God.”
Suniel Shetty Gears Up for ‘Kesari Veer’ Release
Suniel Shetty will next appear in the movie Kesari Veer. It is a historical action film directed by Prince Dhiman. The movie also features Sooraj Pancholi in his comeback role, along with Vivek Oberoi, Barkha Bisht, Aruna Irani, and Akanksha Sharma in important roles. Kesari Veer is set to release in cinemas on May 23.
