The creators of Suits LA have finally brought Gabriel Macht’s character, Harvey Specter, from New York to the West Coast. In the new promo for Episode 3, Harvey shows the same confidence he had in the original Suits series, continuing his strong legacy.
In the promo, Harvey is seen sitting with Stephen Amell’s character, Ted Black, at a bar. While we don’t know much about their relationship or history yet, it looks like they don’t get along.
Harvey Specter first corrects Ted Black’s drink order and then asks him, “Would you like to play it with me, or would you like to play it against me?” It will be interesting to learn more about their relationship in the show, but for now, it looks like Harvey is talking about the prosecutors’ league baseball team, something the show’s creator, Aaron Korsh, has already mentioned to the media.
As mentioned by Deadline earlier, Korsh decided to make Harvey Specter and Ted Black former baseball players who would play for the prosecutors’ league baseball team while they were in New York. During this time, Spector, as shown in almost every episode of ‘Suits’, was known as the best closer that New York has ever seen, while Black worked as a prosecutor in the city.
When talking about Harvey Specter coming back to ‘Suits LA’, Korsh said it made sense to bring him back in a way that felt real. This is because it is very likely that both Black and Spector knew each other during their time in New York.
Harvey Specter’s Past With Ted Black Unfolds In Suits LA Episode 4
He also told TVLine in an interview, “Now, they didn’t work in the same office. Ted was a U.S. Attorney, but Harvey was in the District Attorney’s office. So what I came up with was they both played in this prosecutors’ league baseball team. So it just made sense that they would know each other. To put other people in would just be much harder to figure out.”
Harvey Specter’s three-episode storyline will start in Episode 4. This episode will mainly show flashbacks of Harvey and Ted’s past in New York, explaining how they met and whether they got along. In Episode 6, Harvey will start dealing with some unfinished business on the West Coast.

Rick Hoffman, who is famous for his role as Louis Litt in the show ‘Suits’, will be part of ‘Suits LA’ for one episode.
