‘Su From So’ is gearing up for its OTT release after the successful theatrical run. Made on a small budget, the movie went on to become one of the highest-grossing Kannada films of 2025 till now. It revolves around Ashoka, who is a carefree young man whose innocent crush spirals into rumours of possession by a ghost named Sulochana.

According to reports, Su From So will release on JioHotstar on September 5, 2025.
The movie stars Shaneel Gautham, J. P. Thuminad, Sandhya Arakere, Prakash Thuminad, Deepak Rai Panaje, Mime Ramdas and Raj B. Shetty in the lead roles. For the unversed, Raj B Shetty has also produced the film.
While speaking to The New Indian Express, Raj B Shetty talked about creating more films like ‘Su From So’ that will resonate with the audience. He shared, “We hope to make a statement through such films in the industry. As a production house, we have always believed our job is to create good Kannada cinema. Whoever watches it, even outside Karnataka, should feel the culture, the people, and the essence of this land. Su From So does exactly that—and more.”
Talking about casting new actors, he added, “With my face, it becomes easier to sell a film. But going forward, the dependency on known faces must fall. The industry needs new faces and voices. If JP succeeds here—either as director or actor, he’ll get more opportunities. Same with Shanil Gautham and everyone else involved. That’s the goal, to introduce new talent and let them establish themselves.”
