Studio Ghibli AI Art: Mammootty, Amitabh Bachchan, Parineeti Chopra And More Actors Hop Onto Anime Trend

From Amitabh Bachchan to Mammootty, see how celebs joined the Studio Ghibli art AI trend.

Popular anime production house ‘Studio Ghibli’ has taken over the internet with its new AI trend. For the unversed, people are creating some adorable pictures of themselves in the Studio Ghibli anime films style with the help of AI. Several Indian celebrities have also joined this trend and shared their own rendition on social media.

Taking to his blog, Amitabh Bachchan shared several images of himself that were created through this Studio Ghibli AI Trend. He also posted the original pictures to show the comparison.

He wrote, “… and Ghibli .. invades the world .. in the reality of the realm of communication ..”

Meanwhile, Mammootty shared the poster of his upcoming movie ‘Bazooka’ and converted into a Studio Ghibli animation.

Parineeti Chopra also posted pictures in the Ghibli style with her husband Raghav Chadha.

Rakul Preet Singh also shared some pictures with husband Jackky Bhagnani in the Ghibli style. She wrote, “How it started and how it’s going #ghiblistyle #hoppingonthetrend.”

Bipasha shared beautiful photos in which she also converted her family pictures into the new AI trend.

Even though Studio Ghibli has gained massive popularity through this trend, its chairman and co-founder Hayao Miyazaki earlier criticised the use of AI and called it an insult to life. In a documentary, a team of animators and designer showed Miyazaki their creation of AI system that can create picture. Not impressed by this, he said, “Whoever creates this stuff has no idea what pain is whatsoever.”

He also said that he is “utterly disgusted” by this, further adding, “If you really want to make creepy stuff, you can go ahead and do it. I would never wish to incorporate this technology into my work at all.”

Hayao Miyazaki has created several critically acclaimed and commercial successful anime films.
