Today marks the 55th birthday of Ravi Kishan, born on July 17, 1969, in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. Known for his versatile career spanning Bhojpuri cinema to Bollywood and South Indian films, Ravi Kishan has carved a niche as an actor and a prominent figure in politics, currently serving as a BJP MP from Gorakhpur.
With over three decades in the entertainment industry, Ravi Kishan’s journey from playing role of Mata Sita in village ‘Ramleelas’ to becoming a celebrated actor wasn’t without challenges. His early aspirations faced opposition from his father, leading to numerous setbacks.
However, driven by determination, he arrived in Mumbai with just 500 rupees, residing in chawls while pursuing his dream.

Reflecting on his rapid ascent to fame, Ravi Kishan acknowledged the overwhelming impact of success in Mumbai’s glitzy environment. “When someone rises from poverty and achieves success in this dazzling world, it’s easy to lose perspective,’ he remarked during an interview.
His stint in reality television, notably in Bigg Boss in 2006, further exposed him to public scrutiny and admiration, shaping his public facade beyond cinema.
Despite the initial frenzy of fame, Ravi Kishan emphasized his journey towards stability and humility, finding peace post-Bigg Boss.
