Ross and Matt Duffer have officially announced the animated spin-off of ‘Stranger Things’ with the title ‘Stranger Things: Tales From ’85’. The series is set between the second and third seasons and will showcase new adventures of Hawkins. The makers also unveiled the first look of the animated series and fans can’t keep calm.

While talking about the series, Ross Duffer said, “With animation, there’s really no limits. Eric and his team can just go wild … and they have.”
Ross further revealed how they got the idea of creating a spin-off. He shared in the video, “When we started talking about was there anything else we wanted to do with Stranger Things, this was one of our first ideas.”
The director earlier gave a hint about what fans can expect from the animated series. They said, “We couldn’t be more blown away by what Eric Robles and his team have come up with –– the scripts and artwork are incredible, and we can’t wait to share more with you! The adventure continues.”
The cast of ‘Stranger Things Season 5’ won’t return for ‘Stranger Things: Tales From ’85’. The voice cast are: Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Elisha “EJ” Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Ben Plessala as Will and Brett Gipson as Hopper. Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips will also lend their voices.
The official release date of ‘Stranger Things: Tales From ’85’ has not been announced. However, it is confirmed that the animated series will release in 2026.
Coming back to ‘Stranger Things’, the series will end with its fifth season. It will release in three volumes, with part one releasing on November 26, part two on December 26 and part three on January 1, 2026.
