‘Stranger Things Season 5’ is currently one of the most awaited releases of 2025 and will finally arrive on Netflix within a few months. For the unversed, the last season will release in three parts. Netflix has been using this method to release their different shows for the past few years. This has left many viewers wondering why.

One of the biggest speculated reasons behind this decision is probably the viewership. The longer duration and split keep the interest of the audience, who are tuned in to watch all the episodes. This also helps Netflix retain the subscriptions for a longer period of time.
Talking about ‘Stranger Things’, the first part of its final season will release on November 26, the eve of Thanksgiving day, and will include four episodes. The second part will have three episodes and will release on Netflix on December 25, i.e. on Christmas. Meanwhile, the finale aka the eighth episode or volume three, will release on December 31, i.e. on New Year’s Eve.
These dates coincide with the festival or holiday, giving OTT platforms more viewership and also the audience free time to watch it.

The finale will star Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, Jamie Campbell Bower and Amybeth McNulty. Linda Hamilton has joined the cast as well.
For the unversed, Linda is best known for playing the role of Sarah Connor in the hit ‘Terminator’ franchise. Although it is officially confirmed that Linda Hamilton will feature in the series, details around her role in the show have been kept under wraps.
It will have a total of eight episodes. The first episode is titled ‘The Crawl’, followed by ‘The Vanishing Of..’, ‘The Turnbow Trap’, ‘Sorcerer’, ‘Shock Jock’, ‘Escape From Camaztoz’, ‘The Bridge’ and ‘The Rightside Up’.
