Earlier, the creators of the show, Matt and Ross Duffer, have hinted at the plot and deaths in the finale. While speaking to The Times, Matt revealed, “I would say season 5 is not as violent as season 4, but it has the most violent death of any season.” He further said that they tried to restrain themselves while showcasing gory scenes, but some things are unavoidable.
“The goal was always to scale up each series with the age of the characters and our audience,” Ross Duffer added.
The final season stars Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Sadie Sink, Jamie Bowler, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, and Amybeth McNulty. Linda Hamilton has joined the cast in the final season.
Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2 will release on December 25, 2025, coinciding with Christmas. In India, the series will release on December 26 at 6:30 am due to different time zones. Meanwhile, the third volume will arrive on New Year’s Eve worldwide and on January 1, 2026, in India.
