‘Stranger Things’ is heading towards its last chapter with the upcoming fifth season. The series is set in the 1980s and focuses on a fictional town called Hawkins, where the children unravel a series of extraordinary mysteries. Netflix has officially revealed some exciting details about ‘Stranger Things Season 5’. Earlier, the creators revealed that every episode of the last season will feel like a movie. According to reports by Puck News, all the episodes of ‘Stranger Things Season 5’ will have a runtime of over an hour. It can even extend to 90 to 120 minutes. In an earlier interview, creator Matt Duffer revealed, “We…captured over 650 hours of footage. So…this is our biggest and most ambitious season yet. It’s like eight blockbuster movies.”
As per reports, the final season is made on the budget of a whopping 400 to 480 million USD, with 50 to 60 million USD spent per episode. It is certainly one of the most expensive television shows of all time. A huge budget is required for the grand set designs, which have teleported the audience to the 80s era and upside down. Moreover, the show has a huge cast and is heavily dependent on the VFX.
The final season stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Sadie Sink, Jamie Bowler, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, and Amybeth McNulty will also star in the finale. Linda Hamilton has joined the cast as well.
