Athiya Shetty celebrated her very first Mother’s Day this year. The actress and new mom welcomed her daughter, Evaarah Vipula Rahul, with cricketer KL Rahul on March 24, 2025.
On the occasion of Mother’s day Athiya posted a quote on her Instagram stories for her own mother, that read “I would pick my mother to be my mother again in any and every life time. What a blessing,” she captioned the post “Happy Mother’s Day to my universe”.
It was followed by a collage of two unseen pictures from their post-wedding bash of the couple’s mothers.
Suniel Shetty also shared a nostalgic throwback photo on Instagram stories, holding baby Athiya, dressed in a white frock. His caption read “Happy first Mother’s Day @athiyashetty”. Athiya reposted her father’s story by adding the caption ‘But still your baby’.
KL Rahul also commemorated the day with two special posts. First, he shared a monochrome image from their post-wedding celebration featuring Athiya with her mother, Mana Shetty, and his own mother, writing “A quiet thank you to the women who do it all. To the hearts behind every home, Happy Mother’s Day.”
It was then followed by an unseen photo of Athiya holding baby Evaarah, her back to the camera, Ragul wrote, “Watching you take on motherhood with so much strength, grace and patience has made me fall in love with u even more. Happy 1st Mother’s Day baby. Evaarah is so lucky to have you.”
The couple, who married in January 2023 announced their pregnancy in November 2024 before welcoming Evaarah Vipula Rahul in March 2025. The couple revealed their daughter’s name—Evaarah Vipula Rahul. Athiya later explained its meaning on Instagram “Evaarah meaning Gift of God. Vipula, in honour of her great nani and protector. Rahul, her papa.”
