SS Rajamouli, the filmmaker who is known for making blockbusters like RRR and Baahubali, is currently working on his new project tentatively titled— SSMB29. This film features Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead role and since the project was announced, fans have been eagerly waiting for the updates about it’s release.
Prithviraj Confirms Joining The Cast
During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran has confirmed that he is part of SSMB29. While promoting his film L2: Empuraan, he was asked about being spotted with Mahesh Babu in Odisha. To give all rest to the rumours and speculations, he finally revealed, “Now that the video and photos are out, I can’t really say I went there just for sightseeing. Hopefully, very soon, we will be able to talk about the film. I’ve been part of this project for over a year, and we’ve been slowly working towards it.”
The film also stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas as the female lead. Photos from the set in Odisha have already gone viral, showing the star-studded cast and raising expectations for the film.

SSMB29 is being planned on a huge scale as a two-part film. The first part is expected to release in 2027, and the second in 2029.
While rumours are floating around regarding the film’s official title, the makers are yet to make any formal announcement.
