The film’s buzz has already reached a global audience, indicating that Dunki might deliver a record-breaking performance similar to “Pathan” and “Jawaan.”

It’s worth noting that Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawaan” opened with a staggering 75 crores on the first day, setting a record as the highest-grossing Hindi film on its opening day. Meanwhile, “Pathan” earned an impressive 55 crores on its debut day in India. As “Dunki” hits the screens, it remains to be seen if it will surpass these records in the race for box office success.
This year’s third major film for Shah Rukh Khan, “Dunki” has generated high expectations, with trade analyst Atul Mohan claiming it to be a historic opening. Director Rajkumar Hirani adds to the anticipation, having never delivered a flop film in his career. Notably, “Dunki” holds the distinction of having the lowest budget among Shah Rukh Khan’s recent releases, with a production cost of 120 crores, compared to “Jawaan” at 300 crores and “Pathan” at 225 crores.
‘Dunki’ marks SRK’s first collaboration with astute filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. The film also stars Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani and Vikram Kochhar among others.
