Actor Nitin Chauhaan, who has been part of TV shows such as Crime Patrol, MTV Splitsvilla, died on Thursday, in Mumbai. The news was confirmed by his friend co-actor Sudeep Sahir, who shared a picture of the late actor, and wrote “Rest in peace buddy.” He was only 35-year-old.
While no official confirmation has been given , Nitin’s co-colleague Vibhuti Thakur’s post hints at alleged suicide due to work pressure or personal issues. On her social media, she wrote, “Rest in peace my dear.. really shocked and sad… wish you had the strength to face all the troubles. Wish you were mentally strong like your body.”
A report by India Today states that Nitin’s father has left for Mumbai to claim Nitin’s body.
Nitin came from Aligarh, UP and made his debut in acting with the show Dadagiri 2, in 2009. The actor won the reality show and went on to feature in several other projects including MTV’s Splitsvilla 5, Zindagi Dot Com, Crime Patrol, and Friends: Conditions Apply, Gumrah: End Of Innocence, Supercops VS Supervillains and Savdhaan India.
Death of another young actor has left everyone shocked. Many shared his Instagram posts and paid tribute. After the actor’s death, his comment section was also flooded with last messages and condolences.
This is not the first time that a young actor has committed suicide, leaving everyone shocked. Previously, Pratyusha Banerjee, who shot to fame with Balika Vadhu, was found hanging in her Oshiwara apartment in April 2016.
Actor Tunisha Sharma took her own life by hanging herself in the makeup room of her show’s set. Her co-star and ex-boyfriend Sheezan Khan was arrested and later investigated by the police, before being released.
25-year-old Sejal Sharma was found hanging in her Mira Road flat, in January 2020. She was best known for her performance in Tv Show Dil Toh Happy Hain Ji.
