New Delhi: Sony Pictures Entertainment India has revealed a special treat for all Spider-Man fans in India! Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is slated to be released on June 1, 2023, one day before its American counterpart.
The final teaser, which stars Indian cricketer Shubman Gill as Pavitr Prabakhar, will be released today, May 18.

Since the release of the trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Indian fans have been ecstatic. The directors recently stated that the voice of Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar, will be lent by legendary cricketer Shubhman Gill for the Hindi and Punjabi versions of the film, which piqued the interest of fans. Because of the excitement among fans, the filmmakers have decided to release the film on June 1, 2023, one day before its international premiere.
Speaking about this development, Shony Panjikaran, General Manager and Head of Sony Pictures Releasing International (SPRI) India said, “The interest and excitement Indian fans have shown towards Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is overwhelming. To fulfil this unprecedented demand in our market, we’ve decided to release the film a day prior, and again to reiterate in 10 languages.”
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a forthcoming American computer-animated superhero film starring Miles Morales / Spider-Man from Marvel Comics. Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation, in collaboration with Marvel Entertainment, produced the film. It is the sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) and is set in the Spider-Verse, a shared multiverse of parallel dimensions.
