Sonam Kapoor has officially announced her second pregnancy after months of speculation among her fans. She announced this heartwarming news on Instagram as she flaunted her baby bump in a stellar outfit.
While sharing the news of her second pregnancy, Sonam simply wrote, “Mother.” Priyanka Chopra, Patralekhaa and Kareena Kapoor congratulated the actress. Sonam’s husband Anand Ahuja also commented on the post and wrote, “double trouble.” He further commented, “Baby ma.. also chicccccc mama !”
Earlier, the report stated that Sonam is in her second trimester. A source was quoted as saying, “Sonam is in the second trimester of her pregnancy, and the news has brought immense joy to both families.”
In an earlier interview with India Today, Sonam Kapoor talked about mom guilt and how she dealt with it. She said, “One can never be prepared for motherhood. Whether you’re a stay-at-home mother or a working mother, everyone goes through mom guilt. Whether you’re doing a load of laundry or you’re cooking in the kitchen or you’re doing an interview with someone, there will always be guilt.”
“The biggest conception about working moms is that people think we don’t care about our kids and that we care more about our work. It’s not true. We care about our children enough to want to work,” she added.
Further talking about the positive change that motherhood brought her, she added, “The positive change that’s come about in my life with motherhood is that I feel more myself now. I was pushed to a point where I had to accept myself because my whole body changed, my mental makeup changed and I was like if I don’t accept myself now for what I am, who I am and how my body has changed, it’s never going to happen. This is the time I need to understand otherwise I’m going to go down a dark hole. So, I just had to learn to be okay with who I am and where I am in my life.”
Sonam Kapoor and Anand S Ahuja tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed their son in 2022.
