Actress Sonam Bajwa has gained a significant fan following with her stunning performances and charismatic presence in Punjabi films. Despite her immense popularity and talent, Bajwa is yet to make a full debut in Bollywood, which makes many of her fans wonder. She recently opened up about the reasons behind her decision and emphasized the importance of waiting for the right scenario.
Sonam said, ‘I’m waiting for a good script. Look, I said no to a few films and then recently I heard from people that many people don’t know that I live in Mumbai. So they think it’s because I don’t know it, I shouldn’t stay here, I don’t want to work in Hindi films. If I am offered a good script, I would like to do Hindi films.
Like many, Bajwa wants to be a part of Bollywood. His first brush with the Indian film industry came with a cameo appearance in the 2019 film Bala. Although the role was short, it hinted at his potential and left the audience wanting more. Despite this, Bajwa has yet to accept a major role in Bollywood, a conscious choice based on his desire for quality over quantity.

Sonam said that she is open to working in south films as well, ‘Actually, I would like to work in south films too. I worked there years ago and then I came to Punjab and started working there and I was very busy. Now I feel the more languages I work, the better for me that I want to do good work, and if it is meant to be, I would do Hindi films.’
‘I would love to work with Ammy in a Hindi film as well,’ Sonam concluded.
Sonam Bajwa’s acting journey began with her 2013 debut in the Punjabi film Best of Luck. She has given several memorable performances over the years in films like Punjab 1984, Sardaar Ji, Nikka Zaildar, and Guddiyan Patole.
She is currently promoting his upcoming film Kudi Haryane Val Di. The movie stars Ammy Virk in the lead role and will be released on June 14.
