New Delhi: The last song of late Sonali Phogat titled ‘Chhori Ka Naam’, becomes a massive hit on YouTube. The song crossed over 1.2 million views on the platform. The last song of the late actress cum BJP leader was made public on September 2 on YouTube.

Chhori Ka Naam crosses 1.2 million viewership

The song is a Hariyanwi music piece. The song celebrates Sonali Phogat and pays homage to the late actress. Sonali rose to fame after she participated in Bigg Boss. The song portrays her as an influential political person. The music video also has glimpses from her Bigg Boss stint.

While releasing the song, the makers said that Chhori Ka Naam is a tribute to Sonali Phogat and urged the fans to make the song ‘memorable’.

On August 23, Sonali Phogat, 42, was pronounced dead at the St Anthony Hospital in Anjuna, North Goa. Her body had blunt force trauma, according to a post-mortem report, and the Goa Police then opened a murder investigation.

The actor, who gained notoriety through her TikTok videos, ran for office as a BJP candidate in the 2019 Haryana election but lost to then-Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi (he has since joined the BJP). In 2020, she also made an appearance on the reality series Bigg Boss.
