Son Of Sardaar Director Ashwini Dhir’s 18-Year-Old Son Dies In Car Accident: Report

Ashwini Dhir's son Jalaj reportedly passed away on November 23 after getting gravely injured in a car accident.

Filmmaker Ashwini Dhir’s son Jalaj passed away on November 23 after he got into a car accident in Mumbai. His son was only 18 years old. According to Free Press Journal, Jalaj was going to Goregaon from Bandra with his friends. One of his friends, who was reportedly driving the car under the influence of alcohol, lost control of the vehicle and rammed the car into the divider.

Sahil Mendha, also 18 years old, was reportedly driving the car. Apart from Jalaj, another friend Sarth Kaushik also passed away after being injured in the accident. Mendha was arrested by the police after Jedan Jimmy, the fourth friend, filed a complaint.

In the accident, Jimmy and Mendha sustained minor injuries, whereas, both Jalaj and Sarthak were gravely injured.

Ashwini Dhir has directed four films and some television shows as well. He helmed ‘One Two Three’, ‘Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?’, ‘Son Of Sardaar’, ‘Guest iin London’.

He has produced shows like ‘Chidiya Ghar’, ‘Har Shaakh Pe Ullu Baithaa Hai’ and ‘Neeli Chatri Waale’, among others.
