‘Son Of Sardaar 2’ and ‘Dhadak 2’ clashed at the box office last week, but these movies have now been struggling to attract the audience to theatres. These projects featured big names, as ‘Son Of Sardaar 2’ has Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles, whereas ‘Dhadak 2’ stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri. Check the box office report of both films on day 7.
Son Of Sardaar 2 Vs Dhadak 2 Box Office Collection Day 7:
According to the website Sacnilk, ‘Son Of Sardaar 2’ collected Rs 1.40 crore only on day 7. The movie has earned Rs 32.89 crore in theatres within seven days. Talking about ‘Dhadak 2’, the movie only earned Rs 89 lakh on day 7. It has collected Rs 16.33 crore in total.
About Son Of Sardaar 2:
‘Son Of Sardaar 2’ also stars Ravi Kishan and Sanjay Mishra in the lead roles. Ravi Kishan replaced Sanjay Dutt in the film as the latter’s UK visa was rejected. The movie also features the late actor Mukul Dev, who passed away on May 23, 2025, a few months before the release of his movie.
Vindhu Dara Singh, who is also a part of ‘Son Of Sardaar 2’, remembered Mukul Dev and called him a brilliant man. He told Times Now, “I have all his memories with me because we made so many videos. I have so many videos of him. We would go to the shooting together and come back from the shooting together. We spent lots of evenings together. His family had come, and my daughter had come. All of us had a blast. He was a brilliant man.”
He added, “He was very loved. Usually, I feel I’m the most loved (person) wherever I go. But here, on this set, you could feel that Mukul Dev was the most loved. Everybody loved him so much. He was a wonderful and lovable person.”

‘Dhadak 2’ also stars Zakir Hussain, Saurabh Sachdeba, Deeksha Joshi, Vipin Sharma, Saad Bilgrami and Harish Khanna in the pivotal roles.
While speaking to News 24, Saad Bilgrami recalled how he felt after performing some humiliation scenes with Triptii and Siddhant. He shared, “The movie has some scenes where I had to humiliate people, especially older people. I also had some scenes with Triptii where we are fighting like cats and dogs. I had to pull her hair, and sometimes we even got hurt. I was continuously apologising to her, but she said I didn’t need to say sorry.”
“There are other scenes where I had to urinate on Siddhant Chaturvedi and also remove the clothes of the actor who played his father, to humiliate them. These scenes were really hard-hitting while performing. After coming home, I spoke to my partner and cried a lot. Earlier, I used to wonder why actors cry after performing some scenes, and now I understand why,” he added.
‘Dhadak 2’ is the remake of the 2018 Tamil film ‘Pariyerum Perumal’. The movie is directed by Shazia Iqbal.
