Accprding to Pinkvilla, Sitaare Zameen Par will release on June 20, 2025. A source was quoted as saying by Pinkvilla, “Aamir is looking to capitalize on the open run in the month of June. Initially, he was contemplating to arrive on May 30 , but a June 20 release is giving him a two-week clear run at the box office.”
“Aamir strongly believes in the content of Sitaare Zameen Par, as it rides on his formula of laughter-emotion-drama. He was looking for a good window and has found one with a June 20 release. The entire marketing plan of this social dramedy is locked,” the source added.

Earlier, Aamir Khan reflected on his stardom and shared that he does not think that him, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are the last of stars. While speaking to Instant Bollywood, Aamir said, “Mujhe nahi lagta ki iske baad koi star nahi hoga. Humare baad bohot aayenge, hum log ginti main bhi nahi rahenge. Aap bhool jaoge humko.” He further added, “Yeh toh duniya ki reet hai- Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh. Mahesh makes sure ki destruction hai, phir aap bhool jaate ho har cheez.”

In the same interview, Aamir talked about how his divorce with Reena Dutta affected him negatively and he even stopped focusing on his work for a while. He shared, “I wasn’t working or listening to scripts. I was alone at home, and for almost 1.5 years, I drank a lot. You will be shocked to know that I was a teetotaler. After the split up, I didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t sleep at night, and I started drinking.” He added that, “From someone who didn’t drink at all, I went to being someone who drank an entire bottle in a day. I was like Devdas, someone who is trying to destroy themselves. I did that for 1.5 years. I was in a deep depression.”
On the work front, he was last seen in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’.
