In the video, Aamir talked about how the actors with special needs really enjoyed being on set. He said that usually, there are some disagreements between creative people while making a movie, but this time, there were none at all. He also said that working with the differently abled children felt no different from working with anyone else.

About The Movie

‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is the Hindi adaptation of the popular Spanish Film Champions (2018). Directed by R.S. Prasanna (Shubh Mangal Saavdhan), the film traces a sports team coached by individuals with intellectual disabilities and reiterates themes of inclusion and guidance. Besides showcasing new fresh faces, the film subtly references Aamir’s classic Taare Zameen Par (2007) with a cameo appearance by Darsheel Safary.

The shoot was wrapped up in mid-2024, and it will hit theaters on June 20, 2025. Although Sitaare Zameen Par is Aamir’s third film outing after Salaam Venky and Laal Singh Chaddha, he asserts that the depth of the story and the scope for artistic expression are what led him back.
