Aamir Khan returned to theatres with yet another thought provoking film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, which has been receiving an amazing response from the audience. The movie showed an impressive performance at the box office over the weekend but has now seen a dip in its numbers on Monday (day 4). For the unversed, Sitaare Zameen Par is the official remake of the 2018 Spanish film ‘Champions’.

According to the website Sacnilk, Sitaare Zameen Par earned Rs 8.50 crore on day 4 as per early estimates. It is a big decline in numbers as the movie collected Rs 27.25 crore on day 3. The movie has earned Rs 66.65 crore in total.
Aamir Khan will reportedly skip the OTT release for Sitaare Zameen Par and will choose the ‘pay-per-view’ method. In the pay-per-view method, the viewers will need to pay specifically for the particular film they want to see. They wouldn’t need to access any OTT platform to get access to the movie of their choice. This method is similar to theatres as the individual will be paying for the movie they want to see. It also gives more benefits to the producers.
According to The Hollywood Reporter India, Aamir Khan wants to use this method for Sitaare Zameen Par. A source told the publication, “Aamir doesn’t want to release his films directly on streaming after their theatrical run, as it discourages viewers from watching movies on the big screen. It is also a reason why there is no streaming logo on the poster of Sitaare Zameen Par.”

Apart from Aamir Khan, Sitaare Zameen Par also stars Genelia D’souza in the lead role. Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Ashish Pendse, Samvit Desai, Simran Mangeshkar, Aayush Bhansali, Dolly Ahluwalia, Gurpal Singh, Brijendra Kala, Zeenat Hussain and Nikhat Khan will be seen in pivotal roles.
