Bollywood Actor Ajay Devgn has expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming love he has received for his role as a cop in ‘Singham Again’. Ajay reprised the iconic role of Inspector Bajirao Singham that he first played back in 2011 and then for the second instalment of ‘Singham’ Franchise’ in 2014.
As Singham Again continues to rock the box office, Ajay while speaking to ANI reflected on how the ‘Singham’ Franchise reshaped the portrayal of police officers in Bollywood films.
“I am thankful to the audience for all the love. For a long time, police were portrayed in negative light in the films. Singham as well as Gangaajal were perhaps the first films to portray how an ideal police officer should be. After that, it became a trend of making positive films about police,” he said.

The movie Singham Again also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone. It was released during Diwali, thereby clashing with Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Singham Again is doing pretty well at the box office so far. According to the makers, the movie has collected Rs 11.2 crore as of Day 7 (Thursday), with the film’s total earnings soaring to Rs. 186.60 crore.
Additionally, the film has received praise for Arjun Kapoor’s role as a villain. Notably, the fans can enjoy a special cameo by the Bollywood superstar Salman Khan marking his entry in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. Singham Again is presented by Jio Studios, in association with Rohit Shetty Picturez and Devgn Films.
