English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, aka Edward Christopher Sheeran, live performance was abruptly halted by Bengaluru police on Sunday when he was performing on Church Street.
However, the singer argued that the performance was brief and they had already taken permission, but police did not allow him to continue, citing the permission was requested but not granted.

Sheeran is currently in Bengaluru for his scheduled concert, and his spontaneous street performance was an unexpected treat for fans. Despite the brief interruption, the singer’s presence on Church Street created a buzz among the city’s music lovers.
Ahead of the concert, Ed Sheeran met AR Rahman and his son AR Ameen. Rahman shared the pictures of their meeting on Instagram. One photo showed them sitting on a couch. While another captured Rahman at his music console as Sheeran took a picture. “Photos by Ed Sheeran,” Rahman wrote in the caption.
Ed Sheeran is slated to perform today in Karnataka tonight. He will be seen performing in Shillong and Delhi NCR next.
