No doubt Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal movie is a blockbuster in cinema, but parallelly, the movie is attracting criticism over the dialogue and some scenes.
After ‘pad’ and controversy, ‘Congress’ Rajya Sabha MP Ranjit Ranjan said on Thursday that these types of movies only promote violence and misogyny in society. The leader also spoke about the viral song Arjan Vailly.
She said that it is shameful to depict the history of Arjan Vailly in the background song of Gangwar. While speaking, she said, “My daughter walked out in tears in the cinema hall in the middle of the screening of ‘Animal’. These types of movies have an impact on society, especially on the youngest.”
She also questioned the Central Board of Film Certification (CPCB) and expressed concern about how they give approval to these types of movies.

Animal’s problems did not limit to misogyny and violence, and instead extended to the song titled ‘Arjan Vailly’. Highlighting a specification concern, Ranjan also pointed film title song. Ranjan said that Arjan Vailly was a prominent personality in the Sikh history. He was the son of Sikh military commander Hari Singh Nalwa from the 19th century, and is known for his bravery and valour. Ranjan said the film’s use of the song about Arjan Vailly to highlight gang-war was was offensive to Sikhs.
500 Crore Club
Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal may soon enter the Rs 500 crore box club as the movie earned Rs 481 crore on Wednesday, as informed by the T-series from his official account on Instagram. The T-series mentioned in the post that “he is the box office animal.” Animal earned Rs 61 crore on its opening day across all languages in India. While it collected Rs 50.50 crore in Hindi belts, the Telugu version of the film also earned Rs 10 crore.
