The wait is finally over! Salman Khan fans will get to see the first look of his much-awaited film Sikander on superstar’s birthday, which is on December 27, 2024. The actor will be turning 59 this year. Announcement was made by Sajid Nadiadwala, who has produced the big-budget film, also starring Rashmika Mandanna.
This action-packed entertainer, directed by Produced by AR Murugadoss, guarantees an unparalleled cinematic experience. It is slated for release on Eid 2025. The film will mark Salman’s return to the screen after 2 years. He was last seen in the third instalment of Tiger franchise. The film will also be his first project post the brutal murder of his friend and NCP leader Baba Siddique, who was shot dead by alleged member of Bishnoi gang.
The murder was reportedly a warning for Salman, who has been embroiled in a controversy post the killing of back bucks. Owing to the continuous death threats, Salman has been shooting for Sikander amid tight security. Recently, videos of the cast shooting in Hyderabad’s iconic Falaknuma Palace went viral on social media, which showed Salman surrounded by security forces.
The film also stars Suniel Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Patil Babbar, Sathyaraj, and Anjini Dhawan.

Meanwhile, a report by Pinkvilla states editing work for the teaser is going on in full swing. Background score for the film will also be a big asset and hence is being given due attention. It is given by Santosh Narayanan, who is best known for his work in Kalki 2898 AD, Jigarthanda Double XL, and Vada Chennai among others.
A source close to the production further stated, “Sikandar is among the most awaited film of 2025, and the makers are setting the tone right to welcome the new year with a teaser of Sikandar. This would officially kick-start the marketing campaign of the film, leading to an Eid 2025 release in the month of March. Sajid Nadiadwala has devised big plans to present Sikandar to the cinema-going audience, and the flow of assets in 2025 will include songs, and a theatrical trailer.”
