Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna was one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2025 and on the other hand is L2: Empuraan which had hit the big screens on 27th March, 2025 setting an unimaginable record on its opening day. The Prithviraj Sukumaran directed mass entertainer has received lot of love from the audience. The film’s opening day collection is more than twice the previous highest for a Malayalam film. According to Sacnilk, Sikandar collected Rs. 26 crore on its first day but given Salman Khan’s track record of delivering massive Eid openings the numbers seemed a little underwhelming. Sikandar collected Rs. 1.75 crore net its ninth day, bringing its total collection to Rs.104.25 crore. While L2: Empuraan Also earned Rs. 1.75 crore, bringing its total to Rs.100.10 crore.
