Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 5: Salman Khan has returned to the big screen with his most anticipated film ‘Sikandar’ and paired opposite Rashmika Mandanna. This marked Salman Khan’s return to the movies after more than a year as he was last seen in Tiger 3. Despite the huge, Sikandar has received lukewarm response from the audience and its box office collection has slowed down.

According to the website Sacnilk, Sikandar collected Rs 5.75 crore on day 5 and it is significantly lower than the earnings of its previous day. Despite slowing down, the movie has earned Rs 90 crore in total and is inching towards Rs 100 crore mark at the box office.
In a recent interview, the superstar reacted to Bollywood’s silence on the release of Sikandar and said that people in the industry think he does not need support. For the unversed, Salman is known showing his unwavering support to his colleague in the film industry.
While speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Salman said, “Unko aisa lagta hoga ki zaroorat nahin padti mujhe. But, sabko zaroorat padti hai. (Maybe they think that I don’t need their support. Everybody needs support, including me.)” He then gave shoutout to Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s L2: Empuraan and Sunny Deol’s Jaat.

Earlier, in an nterview with ANI, he talked about the controversies surrounding his pervious movies and hilariously responded that he does not want any controversy this time. Addressing this, Salman told ANI, “Arey nahin chahiye bhai humko koi controversy. Bohot saare controversies se guzar chuke hain hum. Humko nahin chahiye koi controversy.” He added, “And I don’t think controversies make a film a hit. We’ve seen, in fact, that sometimes a film’s release is delayed due to controversies, for example, from Friday to the next Tuesday.”
The movie also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar in the lead roles. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the movie is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
On the work front, Salman Khan has revealed that he will next team up with Sanjay Dutt for an action film.
