New Delhi: The winners for Telugu and Kannada cinema were announced at the 10th South Indian International Awards (SIIMA) ceremony on Saturday in Bengaluru. The event spans two days and features the Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam film industries from the South. As they made their way to the SIIMA 2022 red carpet, Allu Arjun, Kamal Haasan, and Yash all wore sharp outfits. Ranveer Singh was also seen on stage accepting an award. The 10th South Indian International Awards (SIIMA) took place in Bengaluru on Saturday, where the winners for Telugu and Kannada cinema were announced. Pooja Hegde had a big night as she won multiple awards. The event spans two days and features the Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam film industries from the South.

Allu Arjun, Kamal Haasan and Yash graced the red carpet at SIIMA 2022 red carpet. Ranveer Singh was also spotted receiving an award on stage. It was a big night for Pooja Hegde who won multiple awards.

Best Actress in a Leading Role went to Pooja for her work in “Most Eligible Bachelor” (Telugu). Allu Arjun won the prize for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Telugu) for the second year in a row, this time for the movie Pushpa – The Rise. Pooja won the Youth Icon South (Female) Award at the event, while Vijay Deverakonda received the Youth Icon South (Male) Award. At the awards, Ranveer Singh also attended. The actor attended SIIMA 2022, where he was honoured with the Most Popular Hindi Actor in South India award, hours after he was seen at Bengaluru Airport.

The late actor Puneeth Rajkumar also won an award posthumously. A tweet by SIIMA read, “When Late Puneeth Rajkumar ascended to heaven, the Kannada film industry lost one of its most valuable stars. SIIMA is humbled to present him with the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Kannada) for the movie Yuvarathnaa. We thank the Yuvarathnaa team for accepting it on his behalf.” For her film Badava Rascal, Amrutha Iyengar bagged the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role – Critics (Kannada), while the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role – Popular Category (Kannada) went to Ashika Ranganath for the movie Madhagaja.
