Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and Varun Sharma are some of the most talented actors in Bollywood, who leave lasting impressions on the audience. They are all set to make a dream team in Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming movie ‘Side Heroes’. The project was announced on the eve of Friendship Day 2025 with a fun video.
Announcing the movie on Instagram, the makers wrote in the caption, “Dosti celebrate karne ka time aa gaya hai! To all the friends on the eve of Friendship Day.”
The video starts with Abhishek, Varun, and Aparshakti discussing with Imtiaz Ali what their next film should be like. The actors suggest a musical romantic project, but their conversation is interrupted when Imtiaz receives a phone call from an old friend. Inspired by the call, the filmmaker decides to create a film centered on friendship.
The movie promises to be a poignant yet comical story of three childhood buddies who reconnect at a reunion after years of distance and silence.
‘Side Heroes’ will be directed by Ssanjay Tripaathy, written by Siddarth Sen and Pankaj Matta, and produced by Imtiaz Ali, Mahaveer Jain, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba & Reeyan Shah. It is presented by Lyca Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films in association with Window Seat Films.
