New Delhi: Vicky Kaushal’s debut film as a lead, ‘Masaan,’ has completed seven years in Hindi cinema, and the actor has expressed gratitude.
Vicky took to Instagram on Sunday to mark the seventh anniversary of his first film as a lead hero, Masaan. The actor took a trip down memory lane and shared throwback photos on social media. “Seven saal ho gaye! Shukriya, Dil se shukriya, ” the post was captioned by Vicky. Richa Chadha and Shweta Tripathi also played lead roles in the film. It was also Neeraj Ghaywan’s directorial debut. The film addresses castiest issues and depicts a tragic love story between a lower caste boy and an upper caste girl. Check out Vicky’s post below:

Vicky’s close friend and actor Ishaan Khatter called the special day a ‘Masaan day’ for the actor. “Happy masaan day @neeraj.ghaywan@vickykaushal09,” he wrote. Vicky’s co-star from the film Shweta Tripathi took to the comment section and posted a ‘namaste’ emoji. Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar said: “What a film and how sublime were you? Congratulations.”
Recently, Vicky was shooting in Croatia for his upcoming film with Tripti Dimri. The actor had taken to Instagram to share many BTS pictures from the sent and dropped some fun videos as well. The cast an crew of the film also recreated the iconic song ‘Tumse Milke Dil Ka’. Sharing the video, choreographer Farah Khan wrote, “When the whole crew dances u know it’s been a great shoot! Thank uuuu #croatia @vickykaushal09 u were lovely.”
Apart from this, Vicky also has Laxman Utekar’s next in his kitty. Also featuring Sara Ali Khan, the film has been touted as a heartwarming rom com. The actor also has Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur in his pipeline.
