The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially revealed ticketing details and headline entertainment for the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, which will be hosted across four Indian cities and Colombo, Sri Lanka.
In a grand opening, celebrated Indian playback singer Shreya Ghoshal will perform at the opening ceremony in Guwahati. The event will take place before the first match between India and Sri Lanka. Shreya Ghoshal, who has lent her voice to the tournament’s official anthem “Bring It Home”, will perform live. Her performance will be accompanied by cultural performances and on ground activities.
To keep more fans engaged, this time the ticket prices have been kept at the lowest compared to any global tournament till date. Tickets for all league matches in India will start at just Rs 100 (approximately US$1.14).
Ticketing Details:
Phase 1 (Pre-sale for Google Pay users): Goes live at 19:00 IST, Thursday, 4 September, and will run until 19:00 IST, Monday, 8 September on Tickets.cricketworldcup.com.
Phase 2 (Public sale): Opens at 20:00 IST, Tuesday, 9 September, also via the same portal.
In the first phase, tickets for all round-robin league matches will be available for purchase, exclusively for Google Pay users. Fans can also register interest for second phase (for all league matches), with ticket sales starting for the same on Tuesday, 9 September.
India’s Squad Update:
Ahead of the tournament, India have named Uma Chetry as a replacement for injured wicketkeeper Yastika Bhatia, who sustained a knee injury during the team’s preparatory camp in Visakhapatnam. The updated Indian squad is led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur and includes vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, along with experienced players like Deepti Sharma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Renuka Singh Thakur, and Richa Ghosh. Standby players for the tournament include Tejal Hasabnis, Prema Rawat, Priya Mishra, Minnu Mani, and Sayali Satghare.
