New Delhi: The performance video for their third single, ‘Shooting Star,’ by hiphop girl group XG, has been unveiled. In the two weeks since its release, the song has received over 12 million views and has charted in 25 places on YouTube, including No. 1 in the UK, Canada, and Japan, No. 3 in the US, and No. 1 on the worldwide music video trend ranking ‘Music Videos Trending (worldwide).

On January 25, the “Shooting Star” performance video was made public. The performance video for “Shooting Star” was filmed on a stage with bright lights and a starry ceiling to create the atmosphere of space, as opposed to the previous performance video for “Mascara,” which was recorded in an abandoned factory.

On March 8, XG is scheduled to appear on a number of well-known Korean music TV shows, including KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank,” MBC’s “Show! Music Core,” the SBS programme “INKIGAYO,” Mnet’s “M COUNTDOWN,” Arirang TV’s “SIMPLY K-POP,” MBC’s M “SHOW CHAMPION,” and many others.

Along with appearing on Korean music programmes, XG has also been featured on well-known US radio stations like “iHeartRadio” and “WiLD 94.9,” the US YouTube channel REACT with over 20 million subscribers, the Hindustan Times, a significant Indian newspaper, NYLON Manila, a major Philippine newspaper, and numerous other international media outlets.
