Adult film star Rhea Barde, known by the name Arohi Barde and Banna Sheikh, has been arrested by Maharashtra Police for illegally living in India with her family, as a Hindu. Rhea originally comes from Bangladesh but forged her documents to stay in India. Now, in a shocking turn of events, the police has revealed that Rhea was associated with Raj Kundra’s production and worked in many of his movies, as reported by Times Of India.
The police further shared that her mother Anjali Barde alias Ruby Sheikh married a man Arvind Barde from Amravati for this purpose. A case has been registered under Section 420, 465, 468, 479, 34 and 14A of the Indian Penal Code.

Raj Kundra Pornographic Film Case
Businessman and husband of actor Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra was arrested in July 2021 for allegedly creating pornographic films. The police said that Kundra was allegedly administrator of two mobile apps, Hotshots and Bollyfame, which disseminated objectionable videos .
In the case, several other actors, directors were caught by the police including Poonam Pandey, who allegedly collaborated with a firm led by Kundra, to create an app based on her. Later, Gehna Vasisth, who reportedly shot eight pornographic videos, was also questioned by police.
Statement of the police in Rhea Barde Case
The sub-inspector investigating the case, Sangram Malkar shared, “During the inquiry, we discovered that Riya’s mother Anjali is a resident of Bangladesh and she was living illegally in India with her two daughters, including Rhea and a son. Rhea’s mother married Arvind Barde, a resident of Amravati, claiming to be from West Bengal. She later got a passport made by submitting fake birth certificates and other fake documents for herself and her children to prove her Indian identity.”
It has been reported that both her parents are living in Qatar, while the search for her brother Ravindra Alias Riyaz Sheikh and sister Ritu alias Moni Sheikh is still on. Meanwhile, it has been revealed that the actor was earlier arrested under the Immoral Traffic Act regarding her involvement in prostitution.
The case was reported to police by Prashant Mishra, a friend of Riya, who recently learnt about Riya’s nationality and informed the police about it.
