Shehzada box office collection day 1 prediction: Shehzada, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, was finally released today after being delayed. Following a weak advance booking report, the Rohit Dhawan-directed film is hoping to garner more from spot tickets on its opening day. This is Kartik’s second outing following the huge success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which grossed a huge amount on its first day last year.

According to the trade website sacnilk, Shehzada sold over 22,000 tickets on over 3000 screens in India, where it was released today. The film had only sold 12,000 tickets in the three major chains – PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis – as of 1 p.m. on Thursday. Not only is this one of the lowest advance booking numbers for any big Bollywood star since COVID, but it is also less than half of what Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 did last year.

The Anees Bazmee-directed picture earned roughly Rs 6.50 crore in advance purchases on the first day, resulting in a fantastic opening of Rs 14.11 crore nett – the second highest opening day record for any Bollywood film in the post-COVID period at the time. But, based on Shehzada’s advance sales, it appears that the film will earn between Rs 5-7 crore on its opening day, and Rs 7 if word-of-mouth is strong.
Meanwhile, in terms of pre-release buzz, Shehzada hasn’t sparked as much interest among audiences as his previous release, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. It was obvious from ticket sales, as the film had sold tickets worth 60 lakhs through advance booking for day one. In terms of advance ticket sales, this is certainly a dismal start.
