Shehzada box office collection Day 1: Fans had great hopes for Shehzada, a film starring Kartik Aaryan. It appears that they were disappointed, though. The movie, in which Kriti Sanon also has a role, debuted in theatres on February 17. Shehzada, a remake of the hugely successful Telugu movie Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, has suffered a dismal start at the box office with barely Rs 7 crore.

Kartik Aaryan failed to repeat the magic he did with the fantastic beginning of Bhool Bhulaiyaa last year. The movie also has to contend with Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and the newest Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania movie from Marvel.

Shehzada, Kartik Aaryan’s first production, garnered a generally negative reception from the audience. On February 17, Friday, the movie’s opening wasn’t particularly successful. Its first-day revenue is reportedly only Rs 7 crore. It falls far short of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik’s strongest opening of his career. The movie only had a 14.05 per cent occupancy rate. According to Box Office India, the incentive of the buy-one-get-one-free ticket helped the movie attain this figure.

Box Office India reported, “Shehzada has taken a reasonable opening compared to its advance which was very low and suggesting low numbers. The film has an offer of buy one get one ticket free to a certain level which gave the film some momentum from late evening on Thursday and this has continued on the first day. This will enable the first day to come out with respectable collections to grow from but growth will be harder than normal as the incentive is boosting first day collections.”

About Shehzada

The movie Shehzada debuted on February 17 in theatres. Pritam provided the soundtrack for the movie, which is produced by Kartik Aaryan, Bhushan Kumar, Allu Arvind, and Aman Gill. With the box office success of Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik Aaryan makes his big-screen comeback with Shehzada. The action movie is co-produced by T-Series Films, Haarika & Hassine Creations, Geetha Arts, and Brat Films and is directed by Rohit Dhawan.

Kriti Sanon, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Rajpal Yadav, Ronit Roy, and Sachin Khedekar are also featured in Shehzad. The film’s plot centres on a young man named Bantu, who has been despised and abandoned by his father since he was a little child. When he finds out that he was exchanged at birth with a millionaire’s son, his entire existence is thrown upside down. He is, in fact, a billionaire industrialist’s biological son.
