Journey Of The Founders
According to the information available on LinkedIn, ‘The Future Animations’ company was founded in 2020. Based in New Delhi, India, they specialize in 2D and 3D animation services, including Pixar-style animation. 21-year-old Anmol Pandey and 24-year-old Rohit Thakur founded the company.
Rohit Thakur is a young man from Delhi whose father is a labourer. He became aware of his family’s financial struggles at 11 and started taking tuition classes to help. While watching cartoons like Doraemon and Shinchan, he became curious about animation and learned about it through YouTube. In 2017, Rohit met Anmol, who mentored him in animation. He balanced college, tuition teaching, and a night job at an international BPO.
However, stress and health issues led him to leave the tuition role. Soon after, Anmol also stepped away. In mid-2019, Anmol’s father lost his job, and he shared their financial struggles with Rohit. Despite the challenges, Rohit continued teaching Anmol. The two decided to learn animation together, and Rohit bought a laptop using a friend’s credit card. They created profiles on Upwork, landing their first client on May 21, 2020, which paid over $100 plus a $21 tip.
As demand for their work grew, they shifted their focus from working in the business to building it. This journey led to the formation of their team of freelancers and the establishment of a company named ‘The Future Animations.’
