Shark Tank India is currently streaming its fourth season on SonyLIV and has been catching many eyeballs because of interesting pitches and innovative startup companies. The latest episode of Shark Tank recently saw a team of entrepreneurs from Hyderabad who pitched a product that promises to address the issues of diabetes and obesity.

About The Founders Of Moderate
Dr Lalitha and Sreeram Reddy Vanga are siblings, and Kartikeya, the co-founder, has been Sreeram’s brother-in-law for nine years. Dr. Lalitha has worked in the medical industry for nearly 30 years and earned her MBBS from JIPMER in Pondicherry.
Lalitha education:
I earned an MBA in Radiology from Puducherry Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, and Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER). Practiced as a radiologist for almost 10 years. She was also the professor and HOD of radiologist at one of the private hospitals. They also served as the vice president of the Yashoda group of hospitals (corporate hospital chain).
Sreeram Reddy Vanga Education:
I did electrical and computer engineering at Purdue University, Indiana (USA) and was a founding team member at Party Gaming from 2002 to 2005. Then, I started with an entrepreneurial journey and bootstrapped a company in the UK. Then again, he opened one more company in India and sold it to a gaming industry-listed company. He earned around 434 crores from the first company, of which he was a 100-shareholder.
Kartikeya Kabra Education
He did chemical engineering at IIT-Madras, and then, for 10 years, he worked at ITC company and used to lead the ITC company’s deodorant brand, Engage. Then, he moved into brand marketing and launched several companies like Savlon.
About The Company
The startup showcased its main product, Calorie Crusher Tablets, on Shark Tank India. These tablets help reduce the absorption of calories and carbohydrates from food. Two investors, Aman Gupta and Kunal Bahl liked the pitch and decided to buy 5% of the company for ₹1 crore.
Moderate has secured a celebrity investor: Huma Qureshi. Reacting to her brand’s big deal on the show, Huma stated, “Moderate’s been my daily ritual, whether I’m on set or juggling life’s chaos. I’m really proud that our brand Moderate got a deal at Shark Tank India, but it’s the real win. Building something that works for real lives, mine included. I’m thrilled to see Moderate swim with the sharks and prouder still to be part of India’s startup wave.”
