Shakuntalam promotions: Samantha Ruth Prabhu began Shakuntalam promotions on a divine note after visiting the Peddamma Talli shrine in Hyderabad. For the spiritual journey, the actress was accompanied by the film’s director, Gunasekhar. Dev Mohan, her co-star, has posted photos of the actress from her temple visit.

Samantha seeks blessings ahead of Shakuntalam promotions

Samantha will play Shakuntala, the child of Menaka and Viswamithra, in the historical drama Shakuntalam in a cherubic persona. The actress and Dev wore identical white attire for their visit to the temple. The two actors could be seen walking with baskets in their hands in one of the photos. The two performers and a number of other people are seen posing for the camera in the other image.

Dev Mohan took to Instagram and shared the pictures on Instagram. He captioned the post and wrote, “To new beginnings… Kickstarted #Shaakuntalam promotions on a blissful and divine note. Looking forward to all the support and blessings (folded hands emoji). #shaakuntalamonapril14 (sic).”

Samantha announced on Twitter on March 14 that she had finally watched Shaakuntalam. For bringing the epic to life on the big screen, she lauded Gunasekhar.

Sam wrote on Twitter: “And I finally watched the movie today! @Gunasekhar1 garu… you have my heart. What a beautiful film! One of our greatest epics brought to life so endearingly! I can’t wait for our family audiences to be swept away by the powerful emotions!”
