Shahid Kapoor’s 2024 was nothing short of phenomenal, thanks to the massive success of his blockbuster hit, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. His on-screen chemistry with Kriti Sanon left fans spellbound and the film’s triumph has only fueled anticipation for his next project. The wait won’t be long, as Shahid Kapoor is set to kick off 2025 with a bang in his highly-anticipated film, Deva – poised to be one of the year’s biggest releases.
Shahid, who has always been open about his upcoming projects, recently shared a mirror selfie on Instagram and spilled beans about his next film. he also talked about the experience of working in Deva, which was took a toll on his mental health.
Shahid Kapoor wrote, “Prep time … Naya saal naya maal …..Next character next film what can I do that I haven’t before …….lost in the woods….. But you can’t be original if you aren’t ready to be lost …… DEVA was dark and menacing yet vulnerable and noble ….. who will this new guy be …… No friggin clue so far ……. But what a joy to discover yet again what lies within.”
He went on to give a hint about his upcoming character, which is in its nascent stage. “Sliding into the edgy nasty gangster 90s,” he added. In the picture, one could see Shahid’s portrait hanging on the wall behind, in which he looks dapper wearing a suit and black sunglasses.

Shahid Collaborates With Vishal Bhardwaj Again
Earlier in September, Vishal Bhardwaj officially announced his next film Arjun Ustara through an Instagram post. He expressed his excitement about his reunion with Shahid Kapoor and producer Sajid Nadiadwala and revealed that Triptii Dimri will be playing the female lead in the movie.
As per a report by Pinkvilla, Arjun Ustara will go on floors on January 6, 2025. A source close to the development shared details about the grand set being constructed for the movie. “A massive set is being constructed at a studio in Mumbai, bringing the film’s vision to life. A team of over 500 people is working to create this elaborate setup, as the idea is to mount it on a massive scale. The makers are aiming to recreate Mumbai from the era gone by, as the premise of the film is set against the backdrop of the underworld in the post-Independence era,” revealed the source.
The next project Shahid hinted at could be this very project by Vishal Bhardwaj.
