Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for the release of his upcoming action film ‘Deva’. Amid the buzz for ‘Deva’, he has kickstarted shooting for a new film with ace director Vishal Bhardwaj. The movie also stars Triptii Dimri in the lead role.
Sharing a behind the scene photo of the project, the official Instagram page of Nadiadwala Grandson wrote, “A sneak-peek into a spectacular journey that begins today! Stay tuned as the magic unfolds. Straight from the Mahurat shoot!#SajidNadiadwala Presents A @vishalrbhardwaj Film. Film releasing on 5th December 2025.”
The official title of the project has not been decided yet. The movie will release in theatres on December 5, 2025. In the photo, Shahid can be seen wearing a cowboy hat.
Fans are delighted to see Shahid working with Vishal Bhardwaj again. One netizen wrote, “Wishing you all the love and luck for this film, you and Vishal are pure magic together, the best duo ever! I love you so much and can’t wait to see you shine on screen again.”
Another fan wrote, “Cow hat, tattoos, cigarette in hand, bathrobe… Something very spicy is coming.”
Shahid and Vishal have worked in three films: ‘Haider’, ‘Rangoon’ and ‘Kaminey’.

On the work front, Shahid will next star in ‘Deva’. The movie also stars Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulatie, Pravessh Rana and Kubbra Sait in the lead roles. It will release on January 31, 2025. Directed by Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews, Deva is produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films.
Shahid was last seen in the movie ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ with Kriti Sanon. He will also star in ‘Ashwatthama The Saga Continues’ but there has been no updates so far about the project.
