Shah Rukh Khan recently celebrated his birthday by meeting fans in Mumbai and made a heartfelt reveal about his upcoming film ‘King’. He said that his long-reigning co-star Deepika Padukone will share the screen with him in a romantic angle. Revealing a short concept of the film, he said at the event, “I don’t want to give out too much of the story of ‘King’. Once more and more assets come up, you’ll know more about the film. There are several characters in the film. The idea behind the film is that we end up taking big decisions when we end up taking things personally. We should think whether what we are doing is right or no.”
When a fan from the crowd shouted that they have a lot of pyaar (love) for Shah Rukh, he beautifully replied, “Mere saath film mein Deepika Padukone bhi hai. Pyaar toh zaroor hoga”. (I have Deepika with me, so love will obviously be there).”

Deepika and SRK are currently an iconic on-screen pair in Bollywood. They first shared the screen in Om Shanti Om (2007) and have since delivered many hits.
He also mirrored his transformation into what he called a “new kind of macho hero”, crediting director Siddharth Anand with helping him form a stylish and action-packed hero personality which he hadn’t fully played before.

The actor unveiled his first look from ‘King’ on November 2, coinciding with his birthday. More details about the movie are awaited. However, it is confirmed to release in theatres in 2026.
